Bill Roy Concrete Industries Scholarship Recipients Announced during the University of Alabama Honor’s Week

The ACIA is proud to announce the inaugural recipients of the Bill Roy Concrete Industries Scholarship at the University of Alabama.

Established in 2025 by the Alabama Concrete Industries Association, the scholarship honors Bill Roy’s distinguished service to Alabama’s concrete industry while supporting graduate students specializing in structural engineering with an emphasis on concrete research.

The 2026 inaugural scholarship recipients are Shubham Sharma Gyawali, Abdulmaliq Alawode, and Eunice Mednes Rodrigues Farias Mello.

The scholarships were officially presented during the University of Alabama Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering Program Awards Ceremony as part of Honors Week.

ACIA is proud to invest in the next generation of engineers and researchers who will help advance the design, performance, and use of concrete for years to come.
