2024 Foundation Pheasant Shoot raises money for Scholarships

A crisp but windy fall day headlined the 2024 Continental Pheasant Shoot, with 84 industry members participating in the biennial event.

Held at Big Ridge Lodge at Bruser Farms in Hayneville on Thursday, Nov. 21st, the event raised the funds for the Alabama Concrete Industries Foundation that will be used for scholarships given away annually to students majoring in architect or engineering.

The shoot included both a morning and afternoon hunt, with a barbecue lunch prepared by Danny Sanchez.

The winner of the morning shoot was the team with Heidelberg Materials that included Clayton Waites, David Winter, Rodney Grant and Mike Collins. Mcpherson Oil’s team won the afternoon shoot which included J.D. Whited, Rob Mayfield, Zach Jones and Richard McGuirt.
