2025 Truck Driving Championship
Thankfully the rain moved out and the 2025 Truck Driving Championship was held in Birmingham on Saturday, May 3rd. Forty-four drivers from across the Southeast gathered at Thompson Tractor Company to compete in the event, which is held each year to thank these men and women for all the hard work they do for our industry.
Each driver performed various obstacles throughout the course, scoring points for their performance. The challenges included an inspection of the truck, parallel parking, railroad stop, tightest turn, rear-stop and a written test.
Blue Ladybug Facepainting was there for added entertainment, and the drivers and their families enjoyed breakfast from Chick-Fil-A and a catered lunch from Full Moon Barbecue following the event. Kona Ice provided delicious treats as well.
A special “Thank You” to Thompson for hosting once again, and to state troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency for helping judge the competition. It was another successful “Rodeo” enjoyed by the drivers, their families, and friends.
We also want to thank all our sponsors and volunteers who helped make the event possible!
