The ACIF recognized Curry Stevenson of Auburn University and Jennifer Taylor of Tuskegee University as the 2012 scholarship winners on January 13, 2012. The students were presented with $8,000 checks to be used to further their education.
Curry is a senior enrolled in engineering and carries a 3.96 GPA. In addition to her outstanding GPA, she is a Chi Epsilon Civil Engineering Honorary, member of Lambda Sigma Honor Society and Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society. Curry also serves as the treasurer of the Student Government Association.
Jennifer is a senior enrolled in architecture and carries a 3.8 GPA. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Mu and Tau Sigma Delta Honor Societies and has been involved with the student government association having served in the senate. Jennifer has also demonstrated great athletic ability at Tuskegee having been selected 1st team all conference pitcher.
Since its inception in 1993, the foundation has awarded 35 scholarships totaling $156,000.
