We hope you and your family will make plans to attend our annual summer convention in Biloxi, MS at the beautiful Beau Rivage Hotel & Casino June 4-7. As always, we have three great speakers lined up for the Saturday education session. And we made sure to leave plenty of time to network with clients and old friends! SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
This year we will offer three levels of sponsorships.
Platinum $2,000 – Your company’s name will be prominently featured at all events and communications regarding the con- vention. You will also have your name featured on the convention t-shirts and receive a full page ad in the ConcreteWorks magazine.
Gold $1,000 – Your company’s name will be prominently featured at all events and your name featured on the convention t-shirts.
Silver $500 – Your company’s name will be prominently featured at all events.
GOLF
Golf on Friday morning will be played as a blind draw dogfight at The Preserve. A dogfight is a game where players must draw a determined number of points based on their handicap. Golfers on Friday must play their own ball but can have a foursome of their choosing. Two man teams will be drawn after the round is complete. Tee times will begin at 8:00 am. Golf fees include prize money. Golf on Saturday will be played as a four man scramble. Teams will be paired based on handicaps. The tournament will be played at Windgate Country Club. Golf fees include prize money.
2015 SPEAKERS
Aaron Beam
Aaron Beam is a popular, highly regarded speaker at universities, healthcare companies, auditor meetings and conventions, securities training seminars and ethics institutes across the U.S. He has spoken to student audiences as a guest lecturer at many business schools (Univ. of Chicago, LSU, UAB, Penn State, Stanford, Arizona State, and over fifty other schools) over the past four years.
Mr. Beam was the first CFO at Healthsouth Corp., and as a co-founder witnessed first-hand the series of accounting, stock manipulation and leadership failures that led Healthsouth to the $2B securities fraud scandal and ultimate prosecutions of Richard Scrushy.
John Lorentson
John Lorentson is a career ALDOT employee with over 40 years of service. He started his career as an hourly laborer and then worked his way through the Engineering Assistant ranks, with experience in both maintenance and construction activities. In 1989 he was assigned District Engineer duties in the Montgomery area. He was promoted to Assistant State Maintenance Engineer in the Central Office in 1994 and then State Maintenance Engineer in 1998. He held that position for approximately ten years when he then returned to the Sixth Division as Division Engineer in 2008.
On March 1, 2013 John was appointed Deputy Director for Operations by Transportation Director John Cooper and Governor Robert Bentley.
