2019 Truck Driving Championship held May 4th

Thankfully, stormy weather moved out and the 2019 Truck Driving Championship was one of the nicest, and warmest, on record. Forty-eight drivers from across the Southeast gathered at Thompson Tractor Company on Saturday, May 4th, to compete in the event, which is held each year to thank these men and women for all the hard work they do for our industry.

Each driver performed various obstacles throughout the course, scoring points for their performance. The challenges included an inspection of the truck, parallel parking, railroad stop, tightest turn, rear stop and a written test.

A special “Thank You” to Thompson for hosting once again! It was another successful “Rodeo” enjoyed by the drivers, their family and friends.

We also want to thank all of our sponsors and volunteers who helped make the event possible!
