On Wednesday, February 22, 2017, a crowd of 120 designers attended the joint meeting of the Structural Engineers Association of Alabama and the Birmingham Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, sponsored by the Alabama Concrete Industries Associaton. The meeting was held at the Club in Birmingham, where Larry Novak of the Portland Cement Association presented and discussed his design of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the world’s tallest building.
