Last weekend, the ACIA served as the primary sponsor for the Alabama chapter of the American Institute of Architects past president’s reception and sponsored the fees for Auburn architectural students to attend the meeting. The reception is held in conjunction with the Architectural Foundation Fundraiser on the last night of the meeting. The summer meeting is the largest event of the year for the architect association, and widely attended by representatives from the state’s top firms. This is the third year, the association has help cover the fees of the attending students.

In addition to sponsoring the annual meeting, Butch Wyatt, Jeff Murie of General Masonry, and Lee McClinton of Block USA held a hands on masonry design session to provide continuing education credits for architects attending the convention.
