For more than 23 years, the Alabama Concrete Industries Foundation has awarded scholarships to students enrolled in building science, engineering or architecture at our state’s universities. Since 1993, we have awarded 46 scholarships totaling over $256,000, and since 2006 the foundation has given away two $8,000 scholarships annually.
Currently, these awards are the largest construction related scholarships in the state.
Rebecca is a student at Auburn University majoring in civil engineering. She currently holds a 3.8 GPA and has received many honors including:
Student Civil Engineer of the Year, Alabama ASCE (2015)
Phi Kappa Phi Susan Stacy Entrenkin Yates Scholastic Achievement Award (Outstanding Auburn University Junior, 2015)
Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll (2012 – 2015 Seasons)
Auburn Athletics Top Tiger Award (2012-2015 academic years)
Membership – Chi Epsilon Civil Engineering Honor Society (2014-Present)
Membership – Tau Beta Pi Honor Society – Member (April 2015 – Present)
Membership – Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society – Member (April 2015 – Present)
In addition to her scholarship achievements, she has taken on many leadership roles in engineering organizations. Since 2014, she has served as President of the Chi Epsilon Civil Engineering Honor Society. She also serves as Secretary of the ACI Student Chapter at Auburn.
Logan is a student at the University of Alabama majoring in civil engineering. He currently carries a 4.0 GPA. He also has an extensive list of accomplishments including:
2015 Edgar Boyd Kay Award as the Outstanding Civil Engineering Junior at the University of Alabama
2014 George J. Davis Award as the Outstanding Civil Engineering Sophomore at the University of Alabama
Outstanding Academic Achievement Award, University of Alabama, 2014 & 2015
Member of Tau Beta Pi, Chi Epsilon, Order of Omega, & Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society
When not excelling in the classroom, Logan is giving back to the community by serving as Student Consulting Group Leader for Shining Light International and as a mentor to 3rd graders at Holt Elementary school.
